The new buzz in town is that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Anil Kapoor will get together again on screen and recreate the magic which they did last in the year 2000.

This time around, they both will come together in joint venture film namely ‘Fanney Khan’, ah highly-awaited film by the fans who wish to see the duo after 17 years.

In 2000, they worked together in Satish Kaushik’s ‘Humara Dil Aapke Pass Hai’. But this time, they both will not be paired romantically. According to the sources, Aishwarya Rai will be paired opposite R. Madhavan in Fanney Khan.

It’s a hearsay that, Rajkummar Rao, Vicky Kaushal and Vicky Oberoi’s cousin Akshay Oberoi were approached for the same role, but things didn’t work out as desired.

If sources are to be believed, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and R. Madhavan will be paired opposite each other for the first time. Earlier, the duo has shared screen space in Mani Ratnam’s Guru in 2007. But they have never been paired romantically.

Meanwhile, Madhavan is now gearing up for his next film “Chanda Mama Door Ke”, a space adventure film also starring Sushant Singh Rajput and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.

Madhavan said, “‘Chanda Mama Door Ke’ is my next project and I am looking forward to work with Sushant Singh Rajput and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. I have not worked with them before and I am also very excited to work with Sanjay Puran Singh (director). He is extremely talented and we get on like a house on fire,” said the actor.

The actor hopes that “Chanda Mama Door Ke” also turns out to be a landmark film in his career. He added, “Because the story is right up there with all the other scripts I have done.”

Fanney Khan is said to be an adaptation from dutch film by Dominique Deruddere, ‘Everybody’s Famous’.

During the run of the story, it also highlights the issue of body shaming, which many teenage girls are facing. It will show a plus-sized girl who will be Anil Kapoor’s daughter.

Aishwarya Rai will be seen sporting the role of a famous female rockstar who inspires Anil Kapoor’s daughter. She inspires the teenage girls to love their body the way it is.

Fanney Khan is directed by debutant director Atul Manjrekar, produced by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and KriArj Entertainment. It is slated for April, 2018 release.
