Today the major convict of 1993 serial blasts in Bombay, Abu Salem has been finally sentenced to life in jail by a special court and the spotlight again goes to Sanjay Dutt.

On March 12, 1993
Mumbai shocked with 13 bomb blasts.
On April 19, 1993.
Special force team arrested Sanjay at the airport while he was arriving from Mauritius. His father Sunil Dutt had informed the commissioner about the arrival as the police were looking for him for Abu Salem, and his gang personally delivered the arms to Sanjay Dutt’s residence on 16th January 1993.
On April 26, 1993.
Sanjay Dutt first admitted to all the charges, levied against him. However, later the actor retracted t by the actor.
On May 3, 1993,
Sanjay Dutt was granted bail finally.
On July 4, 1994.
His bail was canceled, and he got arrested again. He then has to spend the next 16 months in imprisonment.
On October 16, 1995.
He is granted bail again.
On November 27, 2006.
TADA court summons the actor again.
On November 28, 2006.
Sanjay Dutt was finally found guilty under the Arms Act, but all the cases related to TADA are now not valid.
On July 2007.
Dutt was finally convicted for illegal possession of a 9 mm pistol and an AK-56 rifle and was sentenced to a term of six years jail imprisonment.
On August 2, 2007.
Sanjay Dutt again arrested and taken into custody to Yerawada Jail in Pune.
On August 20, 2007.
The Kaante actor managed to get a temporary reprieve as he was earlier granted bail by the Supreme Court.
On March 20, 2013.
The Supreme Court finally intervened and sentenced actor Sanjay Dutt to five years in jail. He was asked to surrender within four weeks. The sentence was then reduced to 3 years since he had already spent 16 months in jail earlier.
On February 25, 2016.
The actor finally walked out of jail as a free man!
