Begum Jaan will release next month and everyone is pretty excited about the film. Given the fact that it takes us to the time when India had to crudely let go off a part of its land to form Pakistan, there is a lot of talk about it. However, what’s making more noise is the unusual twist to the partition story. It doesn’t focus on the struggles of those times but tells a story of a brothel which becomes the victim of this partition. Now we have a song which perfectly narrates the pain of partition that the people of both the countries felt. The song has been composed by Anu Malik and is sung by Sonu Nigam and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. The video has the partition time depicted pretty well. There is pain in the vocals as well which will unnerve you a bit thinking about those testing times. There are moments in the song which will make you think the one where Hindu kids look at their friends from the Muslim community and leave in silence. You have to watch the video to get the real feel of it. Check it out right here.
