Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are one of the most popular couples of 2017. They recently took their relationship to the next level when the prince bent the knee with a ring and popped the question to this American starlet and humanitarian and she agreed in a heart beat.

It was no surprise to the fans as the royal couple has been making headlines ever since the formal announcement by Clarence House from earlier. However, the ring in question is quite unique and very carefully and thoughtfully designed by none other than the prince himself and created by Cleave & Company, which is Queen Elizabeth II’s preferred jeweler.

It’s known to be made of diamonds, while the center stone was put in after being bought from Botswana where Prince Harry had traveled to while growing up, and also happens to be where he celebrated Markle’s 36th birthday. The diamonds surrounding are from late Princess Diana’s personal jewelry collection while the stones are set in yellow gold, which is Markle’s favorite.

Given the significance of the diamonds being from Princess Diana’s collection, and sentiment surrounding to each of the elements, experts have valued the ring as priceless, according to Money.

Historically, royal weddings lead to much public curiosity and it goes without saying that when Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s takes place in spring 2018, it will be one of the most heavily-reported events seen till date.
