The first look of Varun Dhawan’s Judwaa 2 is out and it’s interesting to see that the makers decided to launch the first look on the 20th anniversary of the original film. The first look of the Judwaa 2 is here and it has been loved by one and all. One thing that came to my mind as soon as I saw the first look was, how distinct the two characters looked from each other.
If Prem was dapper with his spectacles and a suit, Raja was the one with long locks and casual clothing. On the other side, the original Raja and Prem from Judwaa were not that distinct and in fact at many junctures in the film looked almost same. The only distinctive feature used in the film was their hair style. Also, Salman Khan’s Raja and Prem too opted for a different style of clothing.
But they being almost same was the thing that created confusion and subsequent laughter in the film. Now, it is to be seen what changes the makers have planned in Judwaa 2, because identical confusion is forgone as the length of their hair is giving away who’s who.
Having said that, Varun, however, doesn’t want to be compared to Salman just because he has stepped into the latter’s shoes for Judwaa 2. In a media interaction yesterday, Varun said, “I am not thinking about that. When I do a film, I do it to entertain the audience that’s the only thought I have. Eventually, people have to come to the theatres and get entertained.”
Word is that Salman too will be seen playing a cameo in Judwaa 2 as a source close to the development had recently revealed, “Salman will appear in Judwaa 2 as Raja and Prem, the characters he played in the original Judwaa in 1997, two decades later.
Salman will be sharing screen space with Varun’s characters. The sequence is being designed as a highlight in the film.”
