All those who saw Hugh Jackman‘s last ride as Wolverine in recently released, Logan were left with a lump in their throat towards the climax of the film. More than what was playing on screen, it was the realisation of the fact that this is, most probably, the last we’ll be watching Hugh Jackman as adamantium clawed wielding superhero. When Hugh Jackman hanged his claws, many fans were disheartened and disappointed as they were hoping for a Deadpool-Wolverine union on the big screen. While Hugh Jackman decided to put his foot down, if the writers of Deadpool 2, Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick have their say then that may still happen.

Talking to The Hollywood Reporter, when they were asked if Hugh Jackman can still have a cameo as himself, they were startled by the idea. Rhett Reese said, “Oh my gosh, that’s one we haven’t heard. That’s not a bad idea. I like that. Deadpool lives in a world where Hugh Jackman is out there. He’s got the People’s Sexiest Man Alive cover that he staples to his forehead in the first movie, so maybe he could meet Hugh as Hugh. That would be really funny.”Logan released on March 3, 2017 worldwide opened to extremely positive reviews from all across and open to a blockbuster opening worldwide. The film has so far done $200 million on the North American box office and approx $364 million in overseas to a total of $ 565 million worldwide

The film has surpassed the business of all the other X-Men films in the series in just around 25 days of its release and is only behind X-Men: Days Of Future Past ($ 747 million) and Deadpool ($ 783 million). Irrespective of its box office performance the film is hailed as one of the best superhero films of all time by many and currently stands at 61st position on IMDB’s top 250 list.
