Raveena Tandon returns to the big screen after ten years in a hard-hitting tale of injustice and revenge. Of course she had a special appearance in Amitabh Bachchan’s Bbuddah… Hoga Terra Baap and few cameo appearances in films like Bombay Velvet. But this is her true blue comeback and boy, has she nailed it! The subject of the film is very much relevant in today’s time. The film is based on the increasing number of rapes and sheds light on the plight of women in India. The trailer features Raveena Tandon and her daughter, who find themselves in the middle of an unthinkable incident thanks to a few monsters who ride high on the power of money. The trailer leaves you with a sense of unease and discomfort from having tasted the bitter truth that this film seems to serve.
After being a victim of rape and assault, and losing everything – from her daughter to her husband, with no hope for justice from lawmakers, a woman seeks revenge, her way. She kicks butt and how!
Raveena Tandon is known for her hard-hitting roles, having starred in films like, Satta, Daman and Dhoop. And if the trailer of this film is any indication, it might be another feather in her already well-embellished hat. Also read: Raavena Tandon’s Maatr teaser leaves us wanting for more

At a time when Bollywood is accused of glorifying stalking, kudos to Raveena Tandon for coming up with something like this. Just like her contemporaries, she could have easily succumbed to the tried-and-tested formula to make a comeback but she chose to do it with a difference, to bring a change in the society. The trailer, very smartly, walks the thin line, taking a realistic approach in the first half and a filmy touch in the latter half. It’s the latter half that makes us wish the story were true.
I just hope the film turns out to be as good as its trailer and as far as performance of Raveena Tandon is concerned, I am sure she’s going to hit the ball out of the park.
