With so many ambitious women who want to be ahead of the men, there’s Mira Rajput, proud of the fact that she’s a homemaker. At a recent event, Sasha’s baby wife owned the tag of homemaker by saying how she is proud of it and doesn’t wish to hurry into venturing out with ambitions, like many star wives have done.

She said, “I had a tough pregnancy, I went to those 5 months of difficult times to bring my daughter into this world. So now I want to spend every moment that I can with her and I think there is a set of responsibilities around my plate and I feel at my age I have a lot more energy, I have my future ahead of me, so I can finish all of my responsibility and I have nothing in my way. I can raise my daughter, I can be a good wife.

Nothing will stop me after that. I love being at home, I love being a mother to my child, I wouldn’t want to spend one hour a day with my child and rush off to work, why did I have her? She is not a puppy; I want to be there for her as a mother.”

Of course, she had given a disclaimer at the start of the event by saying how she wouldn’t want to invoke any sort of hatred or anger towards her for her opinions. But looks like people have taken a lot of offence to her words. Be it her comparison of a puppy with a baby or the “rushing off to work” comment, Twitter has given a polarised reaction to it.

A lot of people have seconded her opinion and choice, asking other folks to shut down the trolls and angry reactions. However, the outraged ones are mainly people who own pets. They’re mighty miffed with her for making, “raising a pet” sound like child’s play. Also, a lot more have commented on how she has been insensitive towards working women who have no choice by to rush to work. Check out the tweets below.

gave her opinion on how she feels proud to be a housewife & she feels when you can spend time with your kids you must do it.

hasn’t uttered a single bad word for working women, because those hardworking moms have no choice than working for their family.

is being herself, please learn to respect one’s choice…

should be applauded for her honest comments on being a homemaker. New age aggressive feminism is picking up only on puppy though

Mira Rajput is right. New wave of feminism is destructive as it gets butthurt by opposing views. Has feminism become as fragile as male ego?

Totally agree with . Feminism is also about choice and one must respect that.

People offended by her “working mother” diss –

Dear Mira Rajput Kapoor, please wear your homemaker label with pride but don’t deride women who go out to work.

Dear Mira Rajput Kapoor, please wear your homemaker label with pride but don’t deride women who go out to work. Harneet Singh @Harneetsin

Also Mrs Mira Rajput Kapoor, raising pets is as big a responsibility as raising a child. So don’t talk down to pet parents.

Being a / Working Mom is a personal choice.
But indirectly comparing babies w/ career mums as puppies is very distasteful

Dear some do not have the luxury or privilege like you do and their kids turn out just fine. Don’t judge their motherhood pls

Being a mother is beautiful as is having a career. makes it seem like an either or situation which in 2017 it shouldn’t be

‘s understanding of feminism is flawed. Feminism is not being a male basher. It is having the privilege of choice.

Did Mira Kapoor diss pet parents ? WTF ?

See this is what happens when you leave your education midway to marry a Bollywood celeb. Congrats gal

. Bringing down the feminist movement, and the world’s IQ, one stupid sentence at a time.

“Mira Rajput” misfired missile at kareena offends two big demographics working women and dog lovers

The witty masters and their sly digs at Mira –

Mira Rajput: I wish to be house wife, not treat my kids like puppies

Feminists: Haye ram kutte ko ulta bol diya, elite class ‘bitch’

Choosing not to get mad at what Mira Rajput said because I have cats.

Stay at home moms are great. Stay at home moms who flaunt their privilege and imply working moms treat their children like puppies are not.

Mira Rajput said, “my child is not a puppy”.

I don’t know if puppies are insulted or babies.
