Not that Nawazuddin Siddiqui has not mentioned this earlier but looks like his love for Shah Rukh Khan isn’t going to end anytime soon! Perhaps the fact that both the actors come from a theatre background has struck a chord with them. Shah Rukh certainly knows how to charm anyone he works with. At a lot of instances, Nawaz revealed how he thinks working with Khan was the best. But turns out, during shooting for Raees, he literally had to convince himself that SRK was just an actor and not a superstar. In an interview with Mumbai Mirror, the actor rated all the Khans he worked with and clearly, his experience with King Khan has been the best! More than his experience, he feels his chemistry with Shah Rukh has worked really well with the audience.

He said, “When I was filming Raees, I was constantly telling myself that it wasn’t Shah Rukh Khan, the superstar, who was standing there in front of me, because that would be disrespectful to the actor. So for me, he was always Raees Khan. Shah Rukh also comes from a theatre background and like me, during prep, he learns not just his own lines but that of his co-actors. And when in front of the camera, he’d say his dialogues in a completely new andaaz, full of josh, leaving me stumped and eliciting an impromptu response. This made our onscreen time together spontaneous, bringing a different energy to the set. My chemistry is best with this Khan. It was like reliving my theatre days, playing to a `live’ audience and experiencing the sheer joy of acting.”

We have to agree with him on that one. Although Siddiqui tends to usually overshadow the lead actors with his phenomenal performance. We saw that in Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Raees and even Kick! But amid all the Khans he has worked with, his pairing with Shah Rukh was the best. The whole cop-villain rapport they shared was totally entertaining and gripping at the same time. As he spoke about all the Khans he worked with, he did take a big diss at Irrfan Khan too by saying that Saif Ali Khan is a bigger star than him. Well, you folks can stay tuned to this space for that piece.

But tell us if you agree with Nawaz on having the best chemistry with Shah Rukh, onscreen. Write in the comments box below!
