The first teaser of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales was mysterious and didn’t have any sign of Jack Sparrow but a ghastly looking Javier Bardem. However, the extended teaser aired on Super Bowl halftime not only has Jack Sparrow aka Johnny Depp but also Will Turner aka Orlando Bloom!

This is the first time we’re seeing the notorious Jack come back in action with a bottle of rum and covered in muck. Pretty cool, isn’t it? Well, despite the fourth part being a big box-office hit, the film didn’t really connect well with the audience. Being crazed fans of the Pirates franchise, there was a lot expected but due to a lot of changes in the script as well as characters, people barely got to see familiar faces.

But with this extended trailer, there are some hopes for Javier Bardem as Captain Salazar returns to look for Jack Sparrow to find out what happened to his wife Angelica (Penelope Cruz).

In the fifth instalment, we get to see a lot of familiar faces such as Hector Barbossa, Will Turner and of course, Jack himself. While the initial sequence has a lot of war at sea kinda feel (because that’s the only natural thing to do for Pirates), by the end scene, we see the infamous Captain, covered in much, with a bottle of rum in his hand.

The background score comprises of Johnny Cash’s Ain’t No Grave, which adds quite the spooky touch to the teaser. The extended teaser was played during Super Bowl 51 and it surely has gotten everyone piqued! With the return of so many characters from the Pirates franchise, it would be an interesting watch. Check out the extended teaser below.

The film is slated to have a May release, quite possibly clashing with Dwayne Johnson, Priyanka Chopra’s Baywatch. Oh yes, this summer is going to be bigger and better for fans of both the famous franchises. The Indian release dates of both the films haven’t been revealed yet but we’ll soon get to know about the international releases of Baywatch and Pirates of the Caribbean 5. The film stars Johnny Depp, Kaya Scodelario, Javier Bardem, Geoffrey Rush and Orlando Bloom.
