It is quite interesting that offers are flooding for Salman Khan. The actor, who had a phenomenal 2016, courtesy Sultan is all set to make 2017 his year with two releases! It has been revealed that after Tubelight and Tiger Zinda Hai, Salman and director Ali Abbas Zafar will team up once again for a remake of a South Korean film!

Khan’s brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri has bought the remake rights of two South Korean films — Ode To My Father and Scandal Makers (director yet to be finalised). OTMF was Korea’s second biggest hit to date while SM was the highest grossing film of 2008.

Since Atul is planning to produce a film with Salman, this could be that film. It is learnt that Ode To My Father to be directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, starring Salman will be set against 1947 partition of India and Pakistan when lakhs of Hindus, Sikhs and Muslims were displaced.

Scandal Makers revolves around a former teen idol who works as a radio DJ and suddenly discovers he’s a father when a single mother appears in his life. Salman won’t star in this remake. Casting is on for this one. Isn’t that pretty cool? The story does seem very intriguing.

If you notice, lately the actor has been undertaking a lot of movies that have a patriotic background. Even though the films are from an emotional drama premise, the backdrop continues to be set in wartime or under communal difference’s habitat. The good part about his choice is that it’s working splendidly at the box office and with people.

Fans of Salman not only enjoy a good set of high octane action sequences from him but also like the sentimental films he acts. Right now he is gearing up for his Eid release whilst working on Tiger Zinda Hai. The remake of Ode To My father will be his third collaboration with director Ali Abbas Zafar, who has given him a big hit in the form of Sultan.

Not to forget, he will also be directing the Salman-Katrina Kaif starrer that is slated to release this December. There are quite a lot of projects in Khan’s kitty and we just can’t wait to know more about the progression of this said venture.
