Shah Rukh Khan‘s Raees is not only winning hearts in India but internationally as well. We told you how the film is making huge money at the overseas box office on day 1.
Raees had earned an impressive collection of Rs 2.09 crore from the Australia, New Zealand and UK belt. We also revealed to you how the UAE-GCC lapped up this Shah Rukh Khan starrer and now we hear, Friday has been great in these markets as well.
Here comes an update on the same. In the overseas market, the film has earned a good Rs. 38.14 cr.
Taran Adarsh tweeted the numbers saying, “#Raees – OVERSEAS – Wed to Fri: $ 5.6 million [₹ 38.14 cr]. Extended weekend [Wed to Sun] expected to be approx $ 9 million range. MASSIVE!” He had earlier given territorial collection of the film. He wrote, “#Raees is faring VERY WELL internationally… Total till Fri… UK: £ 352,753 [₹ 3.02 cr] Australia: A$ 473,096 [₹ 2.43 cr]” So that makes a total of Rs. 5.45 crore. Yesterday, we told you how it fared in the first two days in UAE-GCC.
It earned a whopping Rs. 9.53 cr at the box office. Taran Adarsh had tweeted those figures yesterday saying, “#Raees takes UAE-GCC BO by storm… Collects $ 1.4 million [₹ 9.53 cr] on Wed and Thu. AWESOME!” So if we add that to the total, the final figure stands at Rs. 14. 98 cr.
That definitely is a big haul for the film. The film is expected to grow bigger today and tomorrow since they are holidays which means increased box office numbers.
Raees may have received mixed response from the critics but people have just loved it. There are reasons for that. Shah Rukh’s film was supposed to release a year back – the big Eid of 2016.
But SRK decided not to go head-on with Salman Sultan Khan and the film got postponed. Now that it has released, the actor’s fans can’t get enough of it!
