Amidst the heavy downpour, not moving traffic, water logged roads many people got stranded for hours together, but the spirit is unbroken. While many Mumbaikars helped as many people as they could by offering help to providing them food and shelter, the B-town celebs too did their bit as responsible citizens.

Bollywood actors such as Sonakshi Sinha, Priyanka Chopra, Emraan Hashmi, Farhan Akhtar, Madhuri Dixit among others posted the helpline numbers to help as many as they could.

 

While among the common people, were actors Anupam Kher and R Madhavan who too got stuck in the terrible water logged streets. Apparently, Anupam Kher was rescued by a friend and R Madhavan walked back home in knee deep water.

Last night, actors Anupam Kher and R Madhavan got stranded and posted videos from their respective locations.

While the continuous rains lashed Mumbai, Bollywood celebs shared their concern on social media and asked the people of Mumbai to stay indoors and safe.

Stars including Amitabh Bachchan, Dilip Kumar, Anupam Kher, R Madhavan and quite a few other celebs have also posted about the Mumbai rains on Tuesday night.

In a series of tweets, Big B has lauded the efforts of Mumbai Police and the people for helping each other out. “Lashing rain… flooded, water logged… but so admirable to see Mumbai Police, common man helping out… true Mumbaikar Spirit,” he tweeted. He posted a series of posts on this situation.

Dilip Kumar, who was recently discharged from hospital, prayed for the safety of people. “Watching the rains from my window all day. I am praying for your safety and health in this downpour,” Dilip Kumar tweeted.

Alia Bhatt, who is currently in Patiala, urged people to stay indoors and also urged people to give shelter to stray animals.

Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt tweeted that his sisters almost drowned in Khar West in Mumbai.
