Amitabh Bachchan is possibly the most influential superstar of Bollywood. Since his heydays, “woh jahaan khade ho jaate hain, line wahin se shuru hoti hai” and that still remains the same. Be it writing an open letter to his granddaughters Navya and Aaradhya, telling them to live life on their own terms, Amitabh Bachchan has been pretty vocal about gender equality, setting an example for others to follow.
Hoping to set an example, this time he shared a post on his Twitter account advocating the same cause.
He posted an image where he can be seen holding a placard that states,
“When I die, the assets I shall leave behind shall be shared equally between my daughter and my son.” He captioned the image, “T 2449 – #WeAreEqual .. and #genderequality … the picture says it all !!”
This is in fact a great gesture on his behalf, even though dividing one’s property equally among their children is no huge deal, it still sends out a message as in today’s world, gender equality is an alien word to most.\
We hope this great gesture by Amitabh Bachchan sees the desired results as intended by him.
On the work front, Amitabh Bachchan is all set to revisit the world of Sarkar with its threequel, Sarkar 3. The trailer was launched yesterday and has received positive response from all quarters. The trailer brings back the lost persona of Amitabh Bachchan which was a rage in his heydays and was missing from his recent slate of films, the ‘Angry Young Man’, except this time he is the ‘Angry Old Man’.
The film is slated for an April 14, 2017 release. On the trailer launch Ram Gopal Varma said that no one can play the character of Shankar Nagre (Sarkar) but Amitabh Bachchan.
